Martha who shares with us this:
I'd like to claim originality of this tip, since I like it so much, but I can't. One of my knitting students shared it with me, and I'm not sure where she got it. And I've seen it referred to in magazines, but I don't know which issue. Anyway...
When I bind off, I use a crochet hook as my right needle. It allows me to simply draw the last stitch through the next-to-last stitch using the hook, rather than using the two knitting needles. It works perfectly, and it doesn't stretch out the stitches at all like sometimes happens when you use the two knitting needles. I hope you and your readers can use this. Martha
